The Story...
C’era una volta is situated in the heart of Assisi; Formerly a cloistered convent, it became my father’s carpentry workshop where he laboured for many years with love and dedication. All that strong and enduring love was passed onto us and now remains captured inside the walls of the building. Rebuilding took many years. Its position on a typical little street, its vaulted ceilings and stone walls have all been combined with a modern decor, creating a unique and comfortable space in the wonderful city of Assisi. Assisi is wrapped in the mystery of our patron saint of Italy, St. Francis, and of St Clare, who together help make Assisi a place of peace where you can fully enjoy its complete serenity.
Our Rooms
The rooms were completely renovated and finely furnished in 2022. A very accurate job that tried to enhance the ancient medieval remains in typical pink stone of Assisi and the ceilings with beams. Each room has every comfort: free WiFi, air conditioning, flat screen TV, courtesy service (coffee maker and kettle), hairdryer, bed linen and towels, samples (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, hands and cleaning kit), fridge, free cot on request, air conditioning, heating. Every day cleaning and change of bed linen and towels are carried out. We will always be at your disposal, both by telephone and physically as we live a few minutes from the structure. It will also be our concern upon your arrival in your room, to provide you with a detailed map of the city with the main attractions, a brief description of them and how to reach them.
